About Me

Heidi Colwell-Morris
Welcome to my little section of the world. This is my haven and escape when life gets to be too stressful.

I am a stay at home mom of 4 boys ages 21, 15, 9, and 3. I have been married for 16 years and live in West Bend, WI.  I got hooked on working with graphics during my Photoshop class while in school for web design. I started out making tournament layouts for an online gaming site and used a lot of scrap kits for them. I came across a digital scrap kit page on facebook one night and decided I could make my own elements and kits instead of using everyone else's. Now I can't stop. There really needs to be a 12 step program for scrappers.

In my down time I enjoy reading, being outside (when it's not 100 or -0), shopping, and spending time with my family.

Here's a little back to school gift for your favorite teacher(s). Never let them forget that they made an impact on your life. This was made with a beautiful kit by Karen's Scraps and Graphics called At the Fall. You can find it at her store HERE at DigiScrapStation. We made these ATCs (artist trading cards) as part of a challenge over at DSS this last month. If you haven't joined yet come on over and join in on the fun. September starts tomorrow with a whole new month of challenges and a whole new month of fun. Come and check us out at DigiScrapStation.

Wow I can't believe it's the end of August already but I'm so excited the kids go back to school in just 5 more days. This momma is doing the happy dance!!!! The summer did go by fast though. I think because I've been so busy sitting here at my computer playing around with my scrapping pages.

NEWS FLASH**** I've been accepted as a Creative Team member over at DigiScrapStation. I am so excited to be a part of the team and to work with such talented people. They have all taken me in and made me feel right at home. So if you need a place to go please come over and join us. They offer several different challenges throughout the month and I have tried my hand at them all this last month. Boy that was a lot of work!!!!

This week I had the privilege of working with a cute kit by Gail Cook called Sweet as Sugar. It was a lot of fun to work with and was pretty versatile for both boys and girls. Lots of bright, cheery colors to play with and a nice variety of elements. Here is a preview of the kit and a look at what I did with it.

Here is the kit that I used and you can get it here at her store at DigiScrapStation

We have started a new kit over at  ScrapKit Challenge. It's called Falling In Love and it's a combination of fall and love. The color scheme for this kit is absolutely gorgeous. We stepped away from the traditional oranges and browns and went with more reds and tangerines. I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. As soon as I saw the color scheme my poor little brain went into overdrive. I think it actually started smoking at one point. Below you can get my first part which are the papers. Be sure to check back soon for the fasteners and notions which will be completed by September 2.
